Hi Fellow Runners.....just got back from a 5k and sadly I am icing both my knee and ankle. This is the first time I have been injured during a race and it wasn't even my fault. There were many runners with strollers who were bobbing and weaving through the runners and I was clipped by one at the knee. While I was trying to steady myself I rolled my ankle. I see this as a huge issue/problem. I understand that parents with little ones want to run, however the problem arises when they are bobbing in and out of runners who barely have time to see them and attempt to swerve to avoid being injured/run over. Pleasant stay on the right side of the road. Other runners were also swiped by strollers during this race(I have seen it happen hundreds of times during my many years of running) and were telling me that they try not to run when they see that strollers are allowed. I will be joining them. There needs to be consideration for the other runners and not to just expect people to get out of the way, we can't see you coming from behind or zigzagging around us.
